iPhone Piracy

Found an interesting article about iPhone piracy from pinch media.

pinch media is an app tracking system, like google analytics for the web. It’s included in many iPhone apps, creating stats for the user (for free) … and even more stats for pinch media itself. I am thinking to integrate such an analytics system myself… is it evil?

Anyway, the piracy article is interesting. According to pm pirated apps crash more often and are used less frequenty (obviously… people may download the apps in big zip archives with many apps…)

Who uses cracked apps? Come on, most apps are not that expensive… (well, i thought about it for TomTom, which is 99$ ;)
But it pisses me somewhat of. Pay for software unless its free by design! Developers have to live too!

Edit: If you use analytics, play fair and give the user a chance to opt-out!
